Trouble with the Well

Since last week we could not bring the water from the well because it's problem at the deep bottom of the well. We are very trouble because we depend on the water from the well to clean the bathroom and to watering the tree surrounding school. So on Friday (yesterday, February 09, 2012) we invited the Well Technician to check it. After checked, the technician told us that we need to pull out the nozzle from the well because the Piston got loose from the steel inside the nozzle (use to suck water from the deep bottom of the well). If we didn't pull out the nozzle from the well, we won't get water any more. So we have no choice beside did the follow guidance from the technician.

Fortunately, now we can use the water from the well normally. More detail about the problem, please have a look of the pictures below:

STEPS Short Film Festival 2011 Award

Here below we would like to quote message from Mr. Harry, a member of STEPS.Received a new computer machine as award of 2011 short film festival from STEPS of the School of Miraizu

As we used the facebook for the contest this time, we've taken time for voting and the internal discussion.

We decided two prizes this time, Gold award and Silver award.

Before Christmas, let me announce you the results as follows:

  • Gold (1st) Prize : Total STEPS Point 15 — "H5N1bird flu"
  • Silver (2nd) Prize : Total STEPS Point 14 — "Good habit of Tumpuon child"
  • Next rank: the same results - STEPS Point 12
    • Good Tampuan minority student

For the awards, we are thinking of transferring donated money, and have you buy some goods for schools as well as any presents for the kids involved in the above movies.

Maybe Gold prize for school plus some presents for kids are around 250 USD, and Silver prize are around 150 USD.

We'd like to have you use money for schools, but also want you to buy some presents to the kids.

That's what we are thinking now.

2011-12-22 Christmas Celebration

Christmas is one of the celebrations that we usually celebrate every year during December 25th. But this year is different because we just celebrated yesterday (December 22th, 2011) because 25th is the weekend and we don't have to study on that day. Christmas, as we know it today, is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, which happened over 2000 years ago. The word "Christmas" translates to "Mass Of Christ".

The Christmas Celebration yesterday started from 8 o'clock in the morning till 12: 30 at noon. During this celebration we drew some pictures, sang the Christmas song, and played some games with the students.

After one hour that the students spent time to draw their picture, we celected the three pictures in among of ten pictures to get the prize because their picture is better than other. The students who got the prize of their picture named: Chab Dalin - Em Leapny - Ouk Sreine
